Liza Minnelli honored a Las Vegas tradition in the wee hours of Saturday/Sunday when she gave a free performance at the Luxor Resort for fellow entertainers. Happy to lend a hand was Terri, who brought the house down with "Bridge Over Troubled Water." In the 1980s, Minnelli often joined Sammy Davis Jr. for special after-hour shows for performers who rarely got to see the big names. A capsule review of the very special evening (or overnight, actually) can be found here.

"Cy Coleman, the Tony Award-winning Broadway composer who rose from child classical pianist to jazz player to master of the catchy show tune, died Nov. 18 of a heart attack, according to friends and colleagues in the theatre community.
Among Broadway musicals composed by Mr. Coleman are Little Me, On the Twentieth Century, City of Angels, Barnum, The Will Rogers Follies, I Love My Wife and The Life."
